I set up a Bitnami WordPress blog behind a reverse proxy on Amazon's Lightsail. The domain.com is our main app/site whereas the domain.com/blog is our Bitnami wordpress blog.
domain.com - main site (not WP)
domain.com/blog - our Bitnami blog on Lightsail
On the DNS records we have configured the subdomain blog.domain.com to point to the Lightsail instance.
In the wp-config.php file, we configured the following:
define( 'WP_HOME', 'https://www.domain.com' );
define( 'WP_SITEURL', 'https://www.domain.com' );
Everything's working great apart from the /wp-admin/ area. Although we can browse settings, when we try to Save any setting we get a wrong redirect which results to a 404 error. For example:
When we click save on that page: https://www.domain.com/blog/wp-admin/options-general.php
The URL goes to https://www.domain.com/wp-admin/options-general.php
Which doesn't contain the /blog/ and resulting to a 404 error.
How to overcome this?
