Hello! I hope you guys can help me I've spent literally about all night trying to figure this out.
So I am setting up this website:
which should have a subdomain:
Everything seems to be working ok, except for the subdomain.
I am experimenting this issue where:
-if I just type the address "gallery.captainjawz.art" it will redirect to captainjawz.art
-if I type https://gallery.captainjawz.art it will open the desired website.
-If I type http://gallery.captainjawz.art it will redirect to captainjawz.art
I have a theory that it is because on GoDaddy, my DNS records, I have it set up so there is the following record
[A] [@] [Google Cloud Server Static IP]
[A] [gallery] [Google Cloud Server Static IP]
I think the fact that the gallery a record points to the same IP is what causes the unwanted redirection to happen, however I cannot figure any other way to have the subdomain work.
I cannot send the godaddy NS to google cloud, because I use the godaddy dns for a custom email address.
Using the godaddy subdomain function, seems to change the server static IP for another IP and then it just will stop redirecting.
Do you guys know how can I fix this issue?
