Description:
Hi there,

I hah a WP site running under bluehost and a backup from it loaded on a fresh install of a WP instance in AWS.

After doing this, DNS is propagated fine with new IP of host and SSL cert is issued on the instance with no problem but seems there is a conflict somewhere as when I try to go to the URL it gets me to the IP instead and so SSL cert shows invalid.

Have made sure domain is unassigned from bluehost and network rules on AWS lightsail instance are also in place - what might be causing this?

Bitnami support code is sent here also.

Thanks.

Hello @cguanaja,

It seems your wp-config.php file is missing both WP_SITEURL and WP_HOME definitions. Could you please add them following our Configure The WordPress Domain Name guide?

Thanks for the input @fdepaz - site is now fully working!

Adding those two lines made it work - interestingly though how those lines were not there given this was a fresh install and site was restored from a backup from another host?

Thanks.

Hello @cguanaja,

I’m glad it worked! I launched a fresh instance using version 5.6.1-1 and those two variables are indeed defined. They may have been lost in the migration, but thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks for validating @fdepaz!

I’ll take this in mind just in case I encounter this same issue again.

Rgds.
