The issue pertains to the "Get Started With Kubernetes" document found here :
In the section "Step 5: Install An Application Using A Helm Chart", the helm command to launch the wordpress chart is :
helm install stable/wordpress --set mariadb.image=bitnami/mariadb:10.1.21-r0
While the command completes correctly, it is not possible to access the WP service as the external-ip is never populated. This is caused by the fact that minikube does not provide a LoadBalancer.
The solution to this situation is to add serviceType=NodePort to the helm command as outlined here :
helm install stable/wordpress --set mariadb.image=bitnami/mariadb:10.1.21-r0,serviceType=NodePort
The documentation should be fix with the adequate syntax.
