When enabling httpd-ssl.conf, the website shows in diretory linsting and not the website

Hello,

We just installed the ssl certificates without no issues. But, as soon as turning on the httpd-ssl.conf option, inside of the httpd.con file, the website now shows in directory listing mode.

If the httpd-ssl.conf is disable inside the httpd.conf file, everything goes back to normal.

What am I missing?

Could you please provide the following information?

What Stack are you using (WordPress, LAMP, Drupal, ...)?
Are you using a Native Installer, a VM or a Cloud Image?
What version of the application are you using?
What Apache Configuration files did you change? You don't need to edit httpd.conf in order to force/activate HTTPS.

This is where we need help. The ssl certificates are located /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf.
We only modified three files bitnami.conf, httpd.conf and httpd-ssl.conf

Hi @par13,

Just wanted to mention that Bitnami already enables an SSL virtual host by default, you can find it in /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/bitnami/bitnami.conf.
You don't need to enable httpd-ssl.con or the vhost defined in there will override the previous one.
