What is the default administrative user and password for a new Liferay portal instance?

What is the default administrative user and password for a new Liferay portal instance? I tried user@[mail domain] and the password shown on the Bitnami Dashboard server properties pane. This works for the initial 'liferay.com' portal instance but not for a second one created. I tried test@[mail domain] and the password 'test' which comes up on Liferay's forums in regard to their downloaded install but does not work even for the initial portal instance on Bitnami. ([mail domain] is the mail domain associated with the new portal instance.) Thanks.

By default, you should login as user@liferay.com where user is the application username shown in the server properties.

Thanks for the reply and link. The problem starts when I add a second portal instance. After much time flailing around I discovered that the current package being used by Bitnami adds a default administrative user test@[mail domain] (NOT 'user' as with the initial default portal when the server is created. But, the password is the one shown on the Bitnami Dashboard server properties pane. I reproduced this repeatedly adding additional portals.

Thanks for posting it. We will try to reproduce and fix this issue.

Hi @sudesh,

We configure user@liferay.com as the username and password bitnami for defaults application login in our Bitnami Liferay Virtual Machines as you can find at https://bitnami.com/stack/liferay/virtual-machine

Hope it helps,
