Hello!
I am new to the community and not so experienced with production stage cloud applications...
But I came here to check out Moodle Bitnami ready to deploy images...
I intend to be able to use it for free/low-cost for some time as this is for a non-profit school - at least until I am familiar with the tech involved and the org can fine tune their requirements...
1 - I read somewhere that this image is $0.019/hour for selected AWS EC2 instance (I know I can choose higher) - can this be good enough to 1000 monthly active users? (daily access could be about school timings = 6 hrs approx). Or will this figure increase?
Will there be any hidden costs beyond instance costs?
2 - I considered AWS but the reason is because I am familiar with it. At the same time I am out of my free trial there, and don't have an option for parallel account.
Is there any stats if GCP / Azure could be free for long so that this would give me enough time to try out FREE in my real scenario (1000 students)?
3 - Is Moodle EC2 image ready to use or do I have to perform many more deployment steps after launching? Do I have to start from Git and everything, or is it readily running?
How is maintenance?
Finally, how does it compare with Azure and GCP options?
Maybe too many open ended questions, but since I am outta luck for pricing am bit confused about my options...
Thank you all for your assistance in time...
