I've been using Trac 0.12 for a while with subversion, and because it's been so stable I've never given a thought to upgrading it. I tried today (because I found some features in Trac 1 that I wanted), but I'm running into problems after the upgrade. (This is on a Windows box, if it makes a difference.) I stopped the Bitnami services, then went into a command prompt and ran
easy_install --upgrade Trac==1.0.1. Looks like everything was successful. Then I ran
trac-admin "c:\BitNami Trac Stack projects\[ProjectName]" upgrade. Got the following:
pisa-3.0.33-py2.6.egg\sx\w3c\css.py:40: DeprecationWarning: the sets module is deprecated
Database is up to date, no upgrade necessary.
Great. But when I turn the services back on and browse to my server, I see
TracError: the Trac Environment needs to be upgraded. Run "trac-admin c:\bitnami trac stack projects\[projectname] upgrade". Which is what I did. I read elsewhere that many times that error is because apache can't read the
conf\trac.ini file, but on a whim I gave the NT "Everyone" user full access to the project file and all the files and folders therein, which didn't solve the problem. I'm a little lost at this point. Wondering if maybe it's because I didn't take all the default locations, but it's too late to change all that now. Any suggestions?
