Keywords: Apache Guacamole - Virtual Machines - How to - Upgrade
The person who set this up is no longer with our organization and I'm not quite sure where to start. I have decent Linux experience, but no Tomcat / Java experience.
Here's what I know. It was installed with the OVA VM. The login splash page was modified to include branding, the DB backend was moved from PostgreSQL to MSSQL. Users are logging in using LDAP against our AD infrastructure.
I'm not sure where to start with upgrading. Looking at Apache Guacamole site, they mention replacing the guacamole.war and the ldap module, but I can not locate a guacamole.war file on our Guacamole server.
Will I need to basically spin up a new VM with the new 1.2.0 OVA and then try to figure out which files to copy over (config files, login page changes, Let's Encrypt cert etc.) or is there a simpler way? Not looking for someone to hold my hand, but would appreciate any help to get me on the right path.
