Upgrade google cloud VM to php 7.4 version

Hello There,

I am looking for a way to upgrade the same VM to php 7.4, without cloning another one and doing import export from migration plugin. My site is pretty complex and I believe it will break some of the functionality. it would be great if i can upgrade php 7.4 within same VM.

Hi @dhruv,

It's not possible to upgrade PHP to 7.4 in a running installation. You will need to launch a new instance using LAMP 7.4 (we do not provide WordPress with PHP 7.4) and then manually deploy WordPress on top of it. You will need to use the All in One WP Migration plugin to migrate the data from your current instance to the new one.
