Keywords: OpenEdX - Amazon Web Services - How to - Upgrade
I have uploaded an openEDX Dogwood instance on AWS a while ago and it is running smoothly.
I now wish to upgrade to the Ginkgo version.
As I see it, I have 2 options and please correct me on this:
Option 1: I set up a fresh openEDX Ginkgo instance and try to migrate my users, courses, grades etc from the Dogwood instance.
Option 2: I try to upgrade from Dogwood to Eucalyptus, from Eucalyptus to Ficus and finally from Ficus to Gingko.
Which of the 2 options would be the best in your opinion?
If I go with option 1, is there any guide for migrating the databases from Dogwood to Gingko?
If I go with option 2, is there a guide for migrating from instance to instance (as there is from Ficus to Gingko here: https://docs.bitnami.com/google/apps/edx/#upgrade-edx-ficus4-to-gingko) or is this not possible?
Thank you in advance.
