Thanks for the information. I was able to reproduce the issue, which seems to be caused by
make using the
pkg-config included with the Bitnami installation, instead of the system-wide one, which would be making it unable to find the header files installed system-wide.
I was able to successfully compile the
git-credential-libsecret binary by running the following commands:
sudo apt-get install libsecret-1-0 libsecret-1-dev
sudo mkdir /opt/bitnami/git/share/libsecret
sudo chown bitnami:bitnami /opt/bitnami/git/share/libsecret
sed -e 's;PKG_CONFIG =.*;PKG_CONFIG = /usr/bin/pkg-config;' -i Makefile
This would generate the resulting file at
/opt/bitnami/git/share/libsecret/git-credential-libsecret, so you can now run:
git config --global credential.helper /opt/bitnami/git/share/libsecret/git-credential-libsecret
