Keywords: TestLink - Windows - How to - Credentials
Description:
I have installed TestLink through Bitnami Stack and am navigated to ‘http://127.0.0.1/testlink/login.php’ through the browser, on clicking ‘Launch Bitnami TestLink Stack’. However, I am unable to login through this. Kindly help with user creation and login from here http://127.0.0.1/testlink/login.php.
Note: I tried creating a new user but that unable to login with those credentials either.

Thanks in advance.

Also, please mention if I am missing something or some step.

Hi @testlinkuser2020,

Thanks for using Bitnami. You should be able to login with the application credentials you provided during the installation. Did the installation process show any error message? Can you check the installation logs as explained in the next guide?

https://docs.bitnami.com/installer/faq/windows-faq/get-started/find-installation-logs-windows/

We also have a Support Tool that will gather relevant information for us to analyze your configuration and logs. Could you please execute it on the machine where the stack is running by following the steps described in the guide below?

Please note that you need to paste the code ID that is shown at the end.

Thank you for the response. But there are no logs created and I am certain I did not provide any application credentials during installation. I just ran the ‘bitnami-testlink-1.9.20-11-windows-x64-installer.exe’ file for installation. Kindly guide, if I missed any step.
Thank you.

Hi @testlinkuser2020,

During the installation process, there is a window like the one below in which you define the TestLink credentials to login. Do you remember the values provided?

Right, I remember now I had multiple instances in which it showed error and I provided some username and Password, but now when I try with whatever combination I could I see either “User not found, please try again” or “SMTP host not properly configured!”.
Is there a way to verify or reset my user details instead?

Hi @testlinkuser2020,

I’m not sure if the installation you are using is valid or if it had any installation problem. We recommend you to uninstall the stack, restart the machine, and install it again.

If you find any issue during the installation, please share with us the installation log file as mentioned in the guide I shared previously.
