Unable to connect to IMAP server

Roundcube installation went fine, on aWIN10 with but when I try to login with my mail credential, I get an error: Could not connect to ssl
I cant’t figure out where is the problem. IMAP server set correctly, with port 993. Maybe something related to the fact I’m using a proxy?

Could you confirm that you are logging in with the correct credentials? You will find information about the default username and password in our docs at https://docs.bitnami.com/installer/apps/roundcube/get-started/first-steps/. We also have some troubleshooting steps at https://docs.bitnami.com/installer/apps/roundcube/configuration/configure-smtp-gmail/

Yes I confirm correct email credential, also tried username and username@mail.com but nothing. It seems to be unable to connect to smtp server.

The Bitnami Roundcube solution works with Gmail by default. If you have any other SMTP provider you will need to configure the app to connect to it

It’s not gmail, but another provider. I have configured everything in config.inc.php

$config[‘default_host’] = ‘ssl://imap.tiscali.it’;
$config[‘default_port’] = 993;

but nothing :frowning:

Please ask your SMTP provider to get more information about the connection status. I don’t know if they are blocking it for any reason.
