Keywords: ERPNext - Linux - Technical issue - Otherbnsupport ID: ceed8bf1-e222-8677-17f8-3687238073b9Description: I have inherited a project and need to make a backup of the erpnext database and install (I have created a snapshot of the vm already). The VM is hosting ubuntu 18, and it appears that the erpnext stack was installed. However, when I navigate to /opt/ there is no bitnami folder (as the HowTo's have stated). The bench-frappe is located in /home/erpnext-11.1.49-0/apps/erpnext/htdocs/bench/ (this seems very "non-standard").I want to create a backup, and move this to a fresh install on another server.SO...looking for a method to create a successful backup.
You first need to load the Bitnami Console environment for commands to be properly run on your installation. To do so, run the next command
After that, you can follow our guide about how to migrate and ERPNext installation at https://docs.bitnami.com/installer/apps/erpnext/administration/migrate/
Hope it helps,Gonzalo
the command ran fine (it seems...no errors)here is the output of the backup command:
erp@erp:~/erpnext-11.1.49-0$ ./use_erpnext erp@erp:~/erpnext-11.1.49-0$ cd apps/erpnext/htdocs/frappe-bench/erp@erp:~/erpnext-11.1.49-0/apps/erpnext/htdocs/frappe-bench$ sudo bench backup-all-sites[sudo] password for erp: Traceback (most recent call last): 2: from /usr/bin/bench:5:in <main>' 1: from /usr/lib/ruby/2.5.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:59:inrequire'/usr/lib/ruby/2.5.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:59:in `require': cannot load such file -- bundler (LoadError)erp@erp:~/erpnext-11.1.49-0/apps/erpnext/htdocs/frappe-bench$

It looks like there is an error with the ruby version installed on your computer. Can you run the next commands after loading the Bitnami Console?
sudo ../venv/bench/bench backup-all-sites
ok...THAT seemed to work...I logged into the web GUI, and there is now a file in Download Backups.
So in migrating, I see the instructions you provided (THANKS!)....any "gotchas" I need to look out for?
I´m not sure if you will find any issue migrating to a newer version or not. It depends of the ERPNext version you are trying to migrate to. We highly recommend you to ask in the ERPNext forums for questions about this process
