Running this Bitnami LAMP stack on an AWS instance:
I can login as user 'bitnami'. I can do this using my SSH keys over PuTTY or user login.
However when I define a PuTTY session to use the 'ubuntu' user login and NO KEYS, I enter the ubuntu admin pw and it logs me in - but puts me in the 'bitnami' user home folder and the prompt shows bitnami. Running whoami shows me as user bitnami. id shows: uid=1000(bitnami) gid=1000(bitnami) groups=1000(bitnami),1001(bitnami-admins)
Wnhy am I not user ubuntu? I set the ubuntu pw at some point, and it accept it at login, however I"m apparently not logged in as ubuntu, but as user bitnami.
What is going on?
Further, how do I determine my root account pw? I thought I had located this, in fact MySQL was set upw tih it and I login using it, but I can; do an 'su' command - it doesn't accept my (same) pw.
What is going on????
How do I get help with this???
This is maddening, I can't get any support from bitnami but they created this stack. Nothing is discussed in the online doc about this.
