Thank you, David! I will check out that plugin.
After poking around in the theme editor (I'm using the Sela theme), I found the following configuration line in functions.php.
add_theme_support( 'post-formats', array( 'aside', 'gallery', 'image', 'link', 'quote','video' ) );
I'm assuming I can enable testimonials for the theme by adding 'testimonial' to that array.
I tried making the change in the Theme Editor within the Wordpress admin, but go the following error.
"Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP."
So now I am trying to hunt down the functions.php file for the Sela theme I installed. I'm using ssh to browse the server's directories, but haven't been able to find the theme's files yet.
Do you happen to know where theme files are placed on the server when they are installed via the WP Admin?
Think I should I start a different thread for this specific question?
