Thank you for using our solution. I just reproduced the issue and created a task in our board to work on it in our future releases.
In order to fix it in a running instance, please run these commands
sudo mkdir -p /opt/bitnami/apps/phpmyadmin/htdocs/tmp
sudo chown bitnami:daemon /opt/bitnami/apps/phpmyadmin/htdocs/tmp
sudo chmod 775 /opt/bitnami/apps/phpmyadmin/htdocs/tmp
As you can see the tmp directory needs to be created inside the htdocs folder. Using bitnami:daemon and 775 allows only those users to write in the directory.
