I need help to enable cURL on my Bitnami SuiteCRM stack.
I installed the Bitnami SuiteCRM stack on a laptop running Linux Mint,
and I want to use AlineaSol as a reporting tool.
Linux Mint 17.3
MySQL - v5.7.25
Apache - v5.0.12
PHP - v7.1.27
phpMyAdmin - v4.8.5
SuiteCRM - v7.11.3-1
The AlineaSol prerequisites are: MySQL, and PHP cURL.
I tested for cURL using:
curl_version Command not found
curl -V The program 'curl' is not presently installed.
You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install curl
I do not think the apt-get is the correct way to activate curl in the
The phpMyAdmin home screen with the Apache status (right side of screen) has
PHP extension: mysqli ? curl ? mbstring ? (the ? are blue button icons)
Clicking on the curl ? icon takes me to the php.net site and the
Client URL Library page. But, the install information there seems to be
directed at installing and compiling PHP with the curl library.
I do not think this applies to the Bitnami stack.
I did find 2 php.ini files in my Bitnami SuiteCRM directory
The travis.php.ini file has 5 settings, none seem related to curl.
The php.ini file has several curl entries (key lines):
;Curl and OpenSSL CA bundle certificate
The php.ini text related to Dynamic Extensions has syntax for Windows and
for UNIX (and I assume Linux).
The example syntax for UNIX is
which implies I should look for a file with the .so extension
That line does not exist in the php.ini file, and there is no curl.so file in
Bitnami stack directory.
I did find the following files in
Should one or all of these files be added to the php.ini file in the
Dynamic Extensions section?
How do I enable curl in the Bitnami stack for SuiteCRM?
