I've been having some issues getting a SSL certificate for a Wordpress bitnami installation on AWS ec2.
I initially tried the "Auto-Configure A Let's Encrypt Certificate" here:
But got a "command not found." So I tried this recommendation:
I was able to generate a certificate and got to the third step, but couldn't link the new SSL certificate and certificate key file to the correct locations. I got a few error messages such as:
chown: cannot dereference ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.crt’: No such file or directory
chown: cannot dereference ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.crt.old’: No such file or directory
chown: cannot dereference ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key’: No such file or directory
chown: cannot dereference ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key.old’: No such file or directory
and this one:
chmod: cannot operate on dangling symlink ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.crt’
chmod: cannot operate on dangling symlink ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.crt.old’
chmod: cannot operate on dangling symlink ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key’
chmod: cannot operate on dangling symlink ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key.old’
and this one when i tried to restart bitnami services:
AH00526: Syntax error on line 46 of /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/bitnami/bitnami.conf:
SSLCertificateFile: file '/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.crt' does not exist or is empty
apache config test fails, aborting
and now my wordpress is down.
Here's what I got when I ran the Bitnami support tool:
any suggestions on how to resolve this? I may have moved the location of the certificate previously by mistake. not sure what happened.
