Description:
Hi,
Currently owning an Azure-hosted Bitnami SonarQube environment (linux) and tried to upgrade to the latest version to benefit from the latest C# features syntax.

I followed the guide here but now, SonarQube refuses to start.
Here follows the console log :

$ sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh start sonarqube
/opt/bitnami/apps/sonarqube/scripts/ctl.sh : sonarqube could not be started

I have nothing in any *.log file in /opt/bitnami/apps/sonarqube/sonarqube/logs/, they are all empty.

Hi again,

I turns out that the issue seemed to have been caused by Apache, the port on which SQ was trying to bind itself was already bound.

Restarting the VM fixed the issue, after a quick DB update, the server is now up and running !

Furthermore, I should say that the correct permissions to set on the local files were not the ones described in the documentation

sudo chown -R root:sonarqube /opt/bitnami/apps/sonarqube/sonarqube

did not work, but

sudo chown -R sonarqube /opt/bitnami/apps/sonarqube/sonarqube

did the trick. After that I was able to get logs again and troubleshoot the main issue.
