I will make a summarized explanation. Let A and B be the instances. There are two choices:
- Use a service like RDS and change the
database.yml configuration in both files. You would have to execute the rake db:migrate job and probably other extra jobs.
- Have A's database be accessible to B. In order to do so, you would have to change mysql configuration to listen in other addresses apart from 127.0.0.1. Also, you would have to open the 3306 port in the Cloud firewall (the more restrictive you make it the better). Then change B's
database.yml file and reconfigure Redmine. As before, you would have to execute the rake db:migrate job and probably other extra jobs
