Description:
Hi, I have a AWS Lightsail instance for hosting a WP site.

I always connect vis SFTP using Filezilla in my Mac with any problems, using .pem file I downloaded from my panel.

Now, I need someone to connect to help me with some things, I sent him all the same configuration I’m using (host, .pem file, user) but he is not available to connect.

We checked several times the data an everything is ok.

He is using filezilla in Windows.

Could be an operating system problem? IP or geolocation restriction? (I’ve never set specific restrictions).

Is there a way to convert .pem to .ppk to try another method?

Thanks and sorry for my low level of knowledge

Hello @miamigo,

We totally discourage sharing your .pem file with anyone.

It is possible to convert .pem to .ppk.

You can also add a new user with SSH access:

I hope it helps
