Set HTTPS on bitnami prestashop 1.7 windows

Keywords: PrestaShop - Windows - Technical issue - Secure Connections (SSL/HTTPS)
Hi all,
I’ve installed and configured bitnami prestashop 1.7 on windows 10.
I need to move my website from http to https.
What are the instructions to do this?
Thanks all,

Hi @gambrinus777rdu,
You can check the documentation here .There is a link also that will explain you how to configure apache.

Yes ok, but if my server is a private server with bitnami windows hosting a website visible online, I need an SSL certificate. How can I install it? I need to buy the SSL certificate or is there a free one? What is the procedure to do that?

Hi @gambrinus777rdu,

The guide @miguelaeh shared is not totally correct. If you are using a Windows machine, you have different options to configure the SSL certificates:

  • You can buy a new one and configure the server using the files you will obtain

  • You can also generate a Let’s Encrypt certificate. We explained this user how to do so

Happy to help!

Hi @gambrinus777rdu,

We have a Bitnami Cert tool that configures a free Let’s Encrypt Certificate for you. It’s very easy to use. You can find more information in the following guide:

Hi michiel, thanks for your response… the guide is for Linux… is there another guide for windows?
Thanks, Stefano

Hi @gambrinus777rdu,

Unfortunately, the bncert-tool does not work on Windows. You will need to follow the manual steps mentioned in the post that @jotamartos shared with you on his previous post.

Also, we have a Support Tool that will gather relevant information for us to analyze your configuration and logs. Could you please execute it on the machine where the stack is running by following the steps described in the guide below?

How to Run the Bitnami Support Tool

Please note that you need to paste the code ID that is shown at the end.
