Requires 777 to upload, install plugins and updates

Keywords: WordPress - Google Cloud Platform - How to - Permissions

I’ve reset permission with the following

sudo chown -R bitnami:daemon /opt/bitnami/wordpress sudo find /opt/bitnami/wordpress -type d -exec chmod 775 {} \; sudo find /opt/bitnami/wordpress -type f -exec chmod 664 {} \; sudo chmod 640 /opt/bitnami/wordpress/wp-config.php

I’ve tried 755 too. However, uploads, install plugins and updates only work with 777. How to allow updates, uploads and installation of plugins work with 755?

Hi @4WU,

We have a Support Tool that will gather relevant information for us to analyze your configuration and logs. Could you please execute it on the machine where the stack is running by following the steps described in the guide below?
