Replacing the logo

So ive tried to replace the logo with my own a few times and one of the times i actually had to delete the entire instance because i lost complete access. I was following the manual for changing the logos and navigated to the bottom of the LocalSettings.php file and put the logo information listed into the document. when i did this the whole server stopped working, i lost connectivity and ssh for a while. The logo never changed and i ended up undoing the work i had done.

how do i put my own logo in?

Could you tell me the exact steps you followed when changing the logo and the link to the guide?

Hi,
These are the instructions i followed. I ended up adding the wording to the bottom of the file as instructed because it wasnt in the file already.

I also uploaded the photo to the page so that it would be handled internally and linked to the correct file path.
