I would suggest the following approach, to avoid any possible issues out there:
- STEP 1: restore to most flexible permissions there can be:
sudo chown -R bitnami:daemon /opt/bitnami/apps/joomla/htdocs/*
sudo chmod -R g+w /opt/bitnami/apps/joomla/htdocs/*
STEP 2: clear Joomla cache by purging cache and expired cache from Backend console
STEP 3: repeat STEP 1. Sometimes when clearing the cache, the permissions need to be reset
STEP 4: clear PageSpeed cache just to be safe:
sudo touch /opt/bitnami/apache2/var/cache/mod_pagespeed/cache.flush
STEP 5: clear cache and cookies for this website in the browser, so you can get the real picture. In case you're using a CDN (e.g. Cloudflare), purge cache there, as well
STEP 6: disable Joomla Cache. Sometimes it's File cache, or maybe you've set up APCu or Memcached.
STEP 7: restart all the servers:
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh restart
These steps should ensure it's not a cache issue. I suggest you test it from several devices, using different Internet Service Providers. In case the problem persists, i assume it's being caused by either an extensions' conflict or php settings on the server.
