We use a Bitnami Openproject stack on a Ubuntu 16.04, latest stack was 6.1.5.
I now wanted to update to the most recent version available from Bitnami which would be 8.1.0.
I did this with previous versions from a 5.0.19 to the 6.1.5 without problems.
So I did the backup and the mysql dump, installed 8.1.0. Checked 8.1.0 was running fine. Then I was using this guide: https://docs.bitnami.com/general/apps/openproject/administration/upgrade/ , dropped the database, imported the dump. And after that ruby went off the rails... quite literally.
In fact it was telling me when i startet the migratetion that my database is simply to old being version 7.4 or older (Uhm.. yes indeed) and aborted the process telling me to please update my database. Sadly not telling me how to do so.
I googled for several hours for ways to update an Openproject 6.x database to 7.4 or later without success. Then I searched for a 7.4 openprject bitnami stack... and failed again.
So if anyone here can help me either updating the database so 8.1.0 will accept it or point me to a download of a bitnami Openproject 7.4.x stack for Linux (I hope that migrating from 6.1.5 to 7.4.x will work and then dump from there again to import in 8.1.0 stack) that would be great.
