PostgreSQL pod crashes in Openshift platform due to InitContainer "init-chmod-data" issue

    bitnami/postgresql: 11.8.0-debian-10-r40

  • Please choose how you got the application: Installer (Windows, Linux, macOS), cloud image (AWS, GCE, Azure, …) or VM (VMDK, VBOX):
    Openshift based K8s cluster

    I am using bitnami PostgreSQL helm chart to deploy it in Openshift based K8s cluster.
    PostgreSQL container fails to start with the init container issue:

init-chmod-data chown: changing ownership of ‘/data/postgresql/data/pg_stat_tmp/global.stat’: No such file or directory
init-chmod-data chown: changing ownership of ‘/data/postgresql/data/pg_stat_tmp’: Invalid argument

Could you please suggest what is the root cause of this issue?
