Opencart /admin username and pass login issues

Hi all, My first question here. I had successfully installed opencart stack before on my mac. but after the big sur update it seemed not to work properly anymore. so i decided to reinstall opencart again directly on my mac. So not via a virtual machine but the opencart mac stack. All is fine but 1 thing will not occur. for 1 it is not showing the bitnami corner for username and pass. I do know the username and pass by default : user , bitnami but this is not working. It tells me that they are wrong. it seems that something is not installed during the installation of the stack and thus not showing the index.html in the right bottom corner. also if i go to /bitnami/index.html it is telling me that it is not existing.

Can someone please tell me what is wrong and how to solve this? I cannot find anything on this issue.

basically, there is no way to reach the admin by default.
Also i cannot seem to install the support tool somehow.

Hello @John71,

You could check your credentials by opening the terminal and run this command:

 cat /home/bitnami/bitnami_credentials

I tried this before and also here

Last login: Wed Dec 16 10:39:43 on ttys001
john@mbp-john ~ % cat /home/bitnami/bitnami_credentials
cat: /home/bitnami/bitnami_credentials: No such file or directory
john@mbp-john ~ %

So what am i missing in the overall installation? It is really odd.

BTW, Wordpress install is working properly. Just this one isn't
It seems the installer itself is incomplete

Hi @John71,

For the prompt, it seems you are running it in your MAC terminal. What I mean is to launch Opencart, click on Start, and then click on Open terminal.

The thing is that Opencart solution and others have been updated (Using System Packages). WordPress is still using the old approach (Self-Contained Bitnami Installations). That's why you can see differences.

Hi,

I am facing the same issue. But I am not able to find how I can open the terminal. I have installed the OpenCart Certified by Bitnami on Google Cloud Platform. Can you please assist on this. Thanks in advance!

Hello @atul,

You are using a different platform (Google cloud), but the same command should work. Could you try with this?:

 sudo cat /opt/bitnami/var/log/pre-start.log | grep "Bitnami application password"
