I see in your reply that you "restarted from the terminal odoo". As I said earlier: "At the end you restart Odoo, not from the manager-osx app but from the terminal by typing marcos command:"
Maybe you do not know what the terminal is? It is an app situated in the Utilities folder, inside the Applications folder. When you open it, you are in front of a plain window with a prompt like
This is where you should paste (check that the odoo name is what you have in you Applications directory and correct it if necessary):
then press enter, you should see the process going, it tells you what it is doing.
You should also check that wkhtmltopdf works properly by typing, for example, the following command, in the terminal:
wkhtmltopdf http://google.com google.pdf
A google.pdf file will be saved directly in your home directory. If this does not work, it is what you have to sort out before anything else...
Finally, I run Mac OS 10.11.3, maybe there is a compatibility problem with 10.9 ?
PS for @marcos : I have tried to edit the setenv.sh script but I do not know the proper syntax, also there seem to be several ways to set a path and it confuses me...
