Not able to start mysql server after purging binary log

I recently ran out of space issue in my bitnami lamp and after purging and restarting server i am getting error "Cannot find any running daemon to contact. If it is running, make sure you are pointing to
the right pid file (/var/run/gonit.pid)

Checking the Bitnami Support tool information, your server is running out of free memory, so it may explain why gonit can’t manage the services.
