Thanks, Michiel, I ran through these instructions and was able to get the demo application rendering the hello world and phpinfo() file.
I was also able to render PHP after cloning the demo folder beneath /opt/bitnami/apps/demo/ as /opt/bitnami/apps/domain.com/ and swapping out all references to demo.
However, this newly created vhost appears to render at domain.com/domain.com rather than simply domain.com. Reducing location /demo to simply location / in the newly created nginx-prefix.conf results in nothing rendering at all.
Is there some final modification that I'm overlooking for creating a vhost that can render PHP?
Thanks again for your help. Unfortunately, the .conf file/folder structure is quite different in all other documentation that Google seems to dig up as compared to Bitnami's stack and I want to make sure I'm actually doing this right. Seems I was way off base where I was looking to start out.
