Keywords: GitLab - AWS - Technical issue - UpgradeDescription: I m not able to find Gitlab 7.9.3 package that required to restore the data. As per gitlab blog for restoration the gitlab version should be same and now i tried to look into 7.9.3 package at https://packages.gitlab.com/gitlab/gitlab-ce link but nothing i found and also i tried with docker but i got old version 7.8. Could you please help from where i will get the 7.9.3 Gitlab version and is there any alternative that i can easily used bitnami version and migrate the data.
Find below the VM for version 7.9.3:https://downloads.bitnami.com/files/stacks/gitlab/7.9.3-0/bitnami-gitlab-7.9.3-0-ubuntu-14.04.zip
I hope it helps
I made clone of production bitnami gitlab 7.9.3 to new server and now i wanted to upgrade bitnami and git lab version to new server. Could you please help me should i need to install gitlab 7.9.3 v separately to upgrade gitlab or directly bitnami is providing any installer that can be used to upgrade gitlab version.
Could you take a look at this previous case?
In this case i can see the Gitlab CE 8.14.3 omnibus package is available but for me gitlab 7.9.3 version is required and git lab switch to omnibus package since 7.10 version onwards. So if you know how to install gitlab 7.9.3 version that would be good.
Hi @gaurav.aggarwal,It seems that the current approach is to backup and restore using the omnibus package, but it is not available for the 7.9.3 version. I would suggest you to take a look at the GitLab forum, I think they will be able to help better on this.
