Unfortunately I haven't got a clue what most of what it says on that and other stackoverflow pages means, so I don't know how to actually do any of it (except I had added
innodb_lru_scan_depth = 256 to my.ini
I have noticed that although almost all the tables in the databases are MyISAM, there's a line at the bottom (in phpMyAdmin) e.g.
51 tables Sum ~118,561 InnoDB utf8_general_ci 11.4 MiB 49.6 KiB
In my.ini could I change
default-storage-engine=MyISAM so that I'm not using InnodB at all - or would that either break everything, or just not work?
