Hi @renthner

Thanks for using Bitnami WordPress!

From the log files that our tool bnsupport could retrieve I see the following error repeated multiple times:

...

Could you please verify that the following file exist C:/Users/Admin/Programme/Bitnami/mysql/data/ibdata1 and that no other program is currently opening it? As you are in windows, you may find handy the Microsoft Process Explorer tool to track it down.

Best regards,
Jose Antonio Carmona

Hi @jcarmona

Thanks for your reply.
The File exists and the Process explorer doesn’t find any programm that has currently opened the file.

Hi @renthner

Hmm, could you please try to start the application again and see if it works now? If it crashes again, it’d be nice if you could execute the bnsupport-tool again in order to see if the same error comes up.

Additionally, you could open the mysqld.log file as well if it crashes again and search for the error

Jose Antonio Carmona

Hi, @jcarmona
Okay well… This is strange:

I just started the Computer, deleted the log, so it is a raw log and started the MySQL Server. The SQL-Server starts now, but the Apache Server doesn’t start anymore… So Cards Changed…

The last message continues appearing every 10 seconds…

The new support-tool number:
675915e7-167b-8172-2b79-fcc9da4c633f

Okay, I have no idea what happened…

I didn’t do anything… I just started the computer and it worked without any issues.
MySQL and Apache… I don’t understand it…

Here’s the new ID:
76ec8a7f-b3df-8fb2-a3d2-4105eee92e9a

I’m glad to see it finally works, but it is indeed bizarre…

Now that it is working, could you please use Process Explorer again to check for the programs using files ibdata1 and mysqld.log? Hopefully, that will shed some light upon this.

Best regards,
Jose Antonio Carmona

Process Explorer doesn’t find any Preocess using the two files…

Maybe I’m not using it right… CTRL+F and then the Filepath (e.g. C:\Users\Admin\Programme\Bitnami\mysql\data\mysqld.log) isn’t it?

Well it says “0 matching items”.

Best regards,
Daniel Renth

Hi @renthner

Can you try using the filename instead of the full path? That is ibdata1 and mysqld.log instead of C:\Users\Admin\Programme\Bitnami\mysql\data\XXXXXX.

Have you experienced any further issues?

Best regards,
Jose Antonio Carmona

Was my answer helpful? Click on

Hi @jcarmona,

Still the same with only ibdata1 or mysqld.log
“0 matching items”

and again the MySQL Server didn’t want to start. I restartet the whole machine and sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn’t. I will keep researching and keep you informed.

Best Regards,
Daniel Renth

Hi @renthner

Thanks for the update, I guess that the error log points to the same message when it does not start. Could it maybe related to the antivirus?

Jose Antonio Carmona

Hi @jcarmona,

Well… because the server is not THAT important and just for some friends for information in terms of a Minecraft Server, I have not installed any antivirus. Just the pre-installed Windows-Security.

Daniel Renth

Hi @renthner

Okay, so maybe the issue revolves around the binlogs files, as shown in the logs:

...
mysqld: File '.\binlog.000001' not found (OS errno 2 - No such file or directory)
2020-11-17T12:28:48.515086Z 0 [ERROR] [MY-010958] [Server] Could not open log file.
mysqld: File '.\binlog.000002' not found (OS errno 2 - No such file or directory)
2020-11-17T12:28:48.515571Z 0 [ERROR] [MY-010958] [Server] Could not open log file.
mysqld: File '.\binlog.000003' not found (OS errno 2 - No such file or directory)
...

We have a guide that covers the process of disabling logging. Could you please give this a try and report back on your results?

Hi @jcarmona

I did what you said and now the MySQL-Server starts, But the Apache Server is not starting anymore. I have no idea, why this is happening. I really hope someone can help me with this.

Hi @renthner

I was able to see that now MySQL-Server starts fine. Regarding Apache Server, I have found out that you have the following errors in the installation log:

"CreateFile C:\\Users\\Admin\XXXXXXXX\XXXXXXXX/conf/extra/httpd-default.conf\r: Die Syntax für den Dateinamen, Verzeichnisnamen oder die Datenträgerbezeichnung ist falsch."

Is your Apache Service running? You can check the status and start/stop services using the manager-windows.exe tool:
https://docs.bitnami.com/installer/apps/wordpress/administration/control-services-windows/

If it is not running, try to start it and see what happens. Unfortunately, the bnsupport-tool was unable to retrieve any Apache related logs. Could you please share the contents of the error.log from apache?

Best regards,
Jose Antonio Carmona

Hi @jcarmona

The Apache Service is not running.
I already tried to start the Service via manager-windows.exe
The bnsupport ID from my last reply (76ec8a7f-b3df-8fb2-a3d2-4105eee92e9a) is the one you asked for.
I also couldn’t find any Apache related logs. There is no error.log-file from apache in /bitnami/apache2/logs/ or /bitnami/apache2/error/

Best regards,
Daniel Renth

Okay, I don’t feel like it anymore…

I’ll reinstall the whole server and try to restore the backup I took.
If there will be any issue I’ll inform you about it.

Thanks for your help! @jcarmona <3

Okay, @jcarmona

I just reinstalled the whole Server. Complete new enviroment. Same Usage (MC-Server with plugins) and the MySQL-Server crashed.

Here’s the ID.
