MySQL and other daemons keep crashing

Description:
I have a pretty clean LAMP stack on Lightsail. Worked fine for a while, but then it started crashing for no apparent reason. I first noticed it when I went to connect to the MySQL instance and received a “connection refused” error. When I look at the running processes with “ctlscript.sh status”, it says “can’t find any running daemon to contact”. That means nothing - Apache, Mysql etc. If I reboot and wait about 1/2 hour, everything seems to come back up. But then it crashes again after a day or so.

I’m stumped on this one. I haven’t changed anything since setup, and it worked fine for about 6 weeks.

Hi @websm,

Your machine doesn’t have a lot of memory available. You can check it with this command:

free -h

I recommend upgrading to a more powerful instance:

https://docs.bitnami.com/aws/faq/administration/upgrade-ami/

Regards,
Michiel

Ah - thanks.
