Keywords: WordPress Multisite - AWS - How to - Domain Name (DNS)Description: I've read every doc I could find and have tried multiple changes and still can not seem to get my site to load correctly. I have an AWS Bitnami WP multisite that I can access directly and with SSH without issues. I named my site the same as the domain I want to use. Currently I see mysite.com and mysite.xxx.xx.xx.xx.xip.io and another site I would also like to use with a different domain. I have a DNS A record pointing to mysite.com. I see the default WP blog site and can't edit the second site to be mysite.com even after changing the name of the host. What am I missing???
I can't believe it was a simple, simple fix - I was trying to edit the second site to be mysite.com and not www.mysite.com.
I think you already solved the issues, right? However, I'd like to let you know that we have this guide in our documentation. It explains how to configure different domains in your WordPress Multisite deployment.
Happy to help!

Thanks Jota - I'm using WP 5.1.1 and that doc set refers to 4.5. The biggest difference is that the domain mapping is no longer configured (or found) in the Network admin dashboard. I also found that when you do need to modify the site URL if you do not use the correct syntax - specifically , adding the www. to the domain name - no error appears but no changes are made either and you are left thinking you cannot make the change. So far I am enjoying the WP environment and the Bitnami build makes many things easy - thanks again for the help!!
Thank you very much for the feedback I will forward this information to the documentation team for evaluation.
