Multiple pagespeed errors causing CPU to go above 100-200%

Hi,

I read all similar pagespeed related errors but could not figure out how to fix mine. I disabled pagespeed until a solution is found.

This seems to be a recent issue with no alterations of config files on my end.

Problems:
- 2 "lost connection with database" errors
- 2 episodes of site unavailable (almost blank page but loading indefinitely)

Looking at the logs here are the most common errors:
- [pagespeed:error] PageSpeed Serf fetch failure rate extremely high
- [proxy_fcgi:error] Partial results are valid but processing is incomplete
- [ssl:warn] AH01909: localhost:443:0 server certificate does NOT include an ID which matches the server name
- [pagespeed:warn] Fetch timed out
- [pagespeed:error] Slow write operation on file

I tried flushing the cache but this had no effect.

I sense this has to do with https and my server configuration. I set up HTTPS using cloudflare.

Would be grateful if you could point me to the write direction and help me understand why pagespeed fails.

Hi @arthur.thoby,

From the df command output it seems the disk is 98% full and is only 9.8G. Did you increase the size after running that command?

@michiel yes I did up it to 15GB thanks for asking and pointing this out. Does the application need disk space for temp files?

Hi @arthur.thoby,

Most disk space issues related to the application are caused by WordPress plugins storing their internal data in the MySQL database. Could you try to disable the plugins and then activate them one by one to check which one could possibly cause the issue?

wp plugin deactivate --all

And then per plugin

wp plugin activate PLUGIN_NAME

And replace PLUGIN_NAME with the name of the plugin?

Hi @michiel,

Since it occurs once in a while I am not sure how that procedure will really help me pinpoint the problem. Plus I need the plugins functioning on my site. I could try on a staging environment but then I won't get ay traffic so not really a workable solution either.

Perhaps you could try this plugin for monitoring and debugging, to find out the plugin that is causing the issue.
