Keywords: GitLab - Linux - How to - Upgrade
Hi, I did a stupid upgrade.
My gitlab is bitnami gitlab 6.5.1.
And I had upgraded it from 6.5.1 to 8.0.3.
Then I got error : sidekiq 3.3.0 does not be supported by ruby 1.9.xxx.
I did lot of search and it seems that it is not possible to upgrade ruby in bitnami gitlab stack.
One most stupid thing I did is I didn't do 'backup' gitlab before doing upgrade.
In order to make all thing back, I rename '/opt/gitlab-6.5.1' to 'opt/gitlab-6.5.1_bk'.
And also deluser 'git'.
I reinstall gitlab-6.5.1 back to the system.
Now the git features are back but I cannot see our data such as those repositories, projects and user data.
Is it possible for me to move these from '/opt/gitlab-6.5.1_bk' to this new one ?
Please be noted that '/opt/gitlab-6.5.1_bk' had been upgraded and fail to run sidekiq.
