Keywords: Moodle - Microsoft Azure - How to - Upgrade
Description:
What is the correct step to upgrade Moodle together with the additional plugin- OpenID Connect, Microsoft Office 365 Integration, Microsoft block?

Hi @senghong.voon,

The following guide shows how you can upgrade Moodle:

https://docs.bitnami.com/azure/apps/moodle/administration/upgrade/

Can you check if it works for you?

Regards,
Michiel

Hi @michiel,

Thanks for the link, I did follow the link but after the upgrade, the additional plugin seems to be missing and I cannot log in using office365 SSO.

What do I need to do to retain the installed plugin?

Appreciate your input.

Regards,
Voon

Hi @senghong.voon,

Can you check this guide, which is mentioned in the first guide I shared with you? It should also work for migrating plugins as the data folder is copied.

https://docs.bitnami.com/azure/apps/moodle/administration/migrate/

Regards,
Michiel

Hi @michiel,

Do you mean the plugin is stored in ‘moodledata’ folder?

Regards,
Voon

Hi @senghong.voon,

It seems that the information in the guide I shared with you is outdated. Our docs team will have a look at it. You can find all the Moodle data, including plugins in /opt/bitnami/moodle. Bitnami Moodle follows the same structure as described in the official Moodle documentation:

https://docs.moodle.org/25/en/Installing_add-ons#Installing_manually_at_the_server

Regards,
Michiel

Hi @michiel

Appreciate it if your team could update the guide with the detailed steps, that would be very helpful!

Could you let me know when the doc is ready?

Thank you.

Regards.
Voon

Hi @senghong.voon,

We will notify you once it’s updated.

Regards,
Michiel
