I'm starting with the ruby stack 2.2.5-3 and running:
rails new application-name
and getting the error:
Installing sqlite3 1.3.11 with native extensions
Gem::Ext::BuildError: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.
/home/kztd/rubystack-2.2.5-3/ruby/bin/ruby -r ./siteconf20160712-2143-1x6et8r.rb extconf.rb
checking for sqlite3.h... no
sqlite3.h is missing. Try 'port install sqlite3 +universal',
'yum install sqlite-devel' or 'apt-get install libsqlite3-dev'
and check your shared library search path (the
location where your sqlite3 shared library is located).
*** extconf.rb failed ***
it seems identical to an error someone got in 2012. It seems the resolution should be related to a change in the rubyconsole file not changing to MySQL or loading sqlite3 globally. Am I missing something?
I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
