Keywords: Moodle - Amazon Web Services - Technical issue - OtherDescription: Is there any documentation around how I can migrate a Bitnami moodle environment to a default moodle setup?
I'm sorry to hear that. We have this section in our documentation that explains how to migrate the data between Bitnami installations, the process to migrate the data from a Bitnami installation to a non-Bitnami one should be similar though
We also suggest you contact the Moodle community to know more information about the process.
Thanks for the reply Jota,
The Bitnami uses the a htdocs concept where all the plugins are stored and there are so many other custom features that the Bitnami stack has that I would not know where to begin. I there no other documentation you have available?
I'm sorry but we do not have more documentation about the migration process. As the guide mentions you will need to restore the database backup in the new installation as well as recover the files of the old installation.
Do you have documentation on how to migrate from a default Moodle installation to Bitnami Moodle?
We tell the users to migrate the database and the data from the old installation to the new one when they want to start using the Bitnami deployments. As I mentioned before, all the Moodle files are inside the apps/moodle/htdocs directory so the directory structure should be the same one than the default Moodle setup.
