I just upgraded to Yosemite and the MySQL Database refuses to start, so I can't start my wiki.
It says that it's stopped and when I try to start it, it says "starting" for a while before it just goes back to "stopped."
Same problem here with a bitnami Wordpress stack (3.8.1)...
MAMP works fine, btw.
Hello @Grz44 and @tiptronic.
Could you please try the solution proposed in this thread?
Please, let us know if this works for you.
Thank you, asce. Unfortunately, there are no XAMPP files or folders.
@asce Here's what I get: The page you requested doesn't exist or is private.
OK - in <...> mysql/scripts/ctl.sh
I added "unset DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH" right at the beginning of the script - now it works:
Thank you for let us know that it worked @tiptronic .
@Grz44 as you are using Bitnami stack, could you please follow what @beltran said in the same thread that @asce linked in his post?: https://community.bitnami.com/t/mysqld-doesnt-start-in-mac-os-yosemite/25153/9
Keep in mind that the correct path will be /Applications/mediawiki-XXXX instead of /Applications/mampstack-XXXX.
I don't know why, but I spent about an hour trying to get it to work yesterday, then tried today and got it to work in five minutes, LOL.
Thank you both for the help.
If you face this issue again in the future, don't hesitate to ask us again about it.
