Keywords: MariaDB - Other - How to - Other
I have a remote Mariadb server (on a AWS machine instance) which I must use key files (certificates) in order to connect to it.
I need to query this DB using IBM Cloud Functions Actions (because, also on IBM cloud, I have a Watson Assistant dialog whose flow will be determined on the result of this query).
On IBM docs, I found out Mariadb and Mariadb-Galera for IBM Cloud are provided by Bitnami.
As far as I could understand by now, I'd have two options to archive this:
1 - replicate the AWS Mariadb server on IBM Cloud;
2 - on IBM Cloud Functions Action, connect directly to the this remote DB (I have the certificates/key files for that)
However, I'm new to IBM cloud databases or how to use Bitnami to create a Mariadb server for IBM Cloud.
To be honest, I don't even know if I should use Mariadb or Mariadb-Galera for this replication.
So, how to create a Mariadb server on IBM cloud and replicate an existing DB which requires certificates to connect to it?
Thank you very much.
