Keywords: General - AWS - Technical issue - OtherDescription: I purchased the Mahara AMI on AWS and it appears to have failed on installation. The Instance dashboard shows that the server is running but I cannot connect to it through the web or SSH. WHen rebooting the server I get the same issue. I cannot access any logs from the AWS dashboard but I can get a screenshot. I have rebooted the server a number of times but it always gets to the same place (in teh screenshot) and nothing else happens.
I have purchased an AMI for Mahara from a different supplier and that installed and booted up first time.
It looks like the AMI provided by Bitnami is faulty and is the cause of the issue. I'll wait and see if I get a reply before deleting the Bitnami instance.
Hi @geo1
I am sorry to hear you were experiencing problems with the Mahara instance in AWS. I have tried to replicate your issue but did not face any problems when launching a new instance:
Could you please indicate me what is the version of the AMI you are trying to deploy?

The version I purchased was the latest on on the AWS Marketplace.
bitnami-mahara-20.10.0-0-linux-debian-10-x86_64-hvm-ebs-6648442b-8f91-4104-8f61-7f13c2329786-ami-0f83b5670e1a2e2d5.4
I will terminate this server and try again.
Thanks
I have launched a new instance of the aforementioned AMI in AWS and it seems to be working ok, could you please retry that and report back if you find issues?
