We are planning to use Mahara 17.04 and bitnami to deploy. This is really a set of general questions as to how customisation/configuration survives an update.
This will be on AWS or Azure i.e. a cloud image.
No plugins installed as yet. We're interested in installing the optional plugins which may not be included in the image.
My question is generally how plugins and customisations survive a Bitnami image update. I've read that the Bitnami image is automatically updated (great!). I wasn't sure if this might stop us using customisations. If we install/enable one of the non standard plugins (e.g. clean URLs or Elastic search) what happens when Mahara is updated?
We would need to have separate large storage too i.e. cloud storage and I'm just wondering, generally, if configurations survive updates to the cloud image.
