Local installation stopped working at http

Keywords: WordPress - Windows - Technical issue - Secure Connections (SSL/HTTPS)
Description:
I installed the WP stack locally and successfully worked on my site. I came back today and the site, http://127.0.0.1/wordpress, now redirects to https and give me a "Unable to connect" error. Then I realized I hadn't started services.

Went to Bitnami WordPress desktop app, clicked Go to Application > Start Servers. It keeps trying but doesn't start.

Tried to run the Bitnami Support Tool, but sudo isn't recognized.

How can I get this working?

Hello @dthompson,

It could be due to other services blocking those ports. You can check it by opening a command prompt window and executing (fill it with the ports you selected during the installation):

 netstat -abon | findstr "80"
 netstat -abon | findstr "3306"

Also, you could you take a look at your Apache error_log and MySQL mysqld.log files to find more information about the errors:

sudo should be used in UNIX system. Here you have the documentation for Windows:

Thanks for getting back to me, David.

I ran the two netstat commands and nothing returned.

I could not find Apache error_log in the installation. I found
mysqld.log with the following:

I don't see any documentation or community answers on these two warning in
relation to my setup.

Ran the Support Tool with the following return:

Hello @dthompson,

Sorry, it is error.log.

Could you try to open use_wordpress.bat console in your installdir folder and start the service by executing the following commands?

net start wordpressApache
net start wordpressMySQL

Please, let us know the results.

Thanks. Found error.log. (Verbose output at the end.) The only error is:

[Sat Jan 09 20:48:15.318726 2021] [mpm_winnt:error] [pid 5532:tid 1540] AH00326: Server ran out of threads to serve requests. Consider raising the ThreadsPerChild setting

I upped ThreadsPerChild to 250. No joy.

Couldn't find the installdir directory. Tried the CL in the dir where I
found the use_wordpress.bat. No joy.

Hello @davidg,

The issue seems related to administrative privileges. I have found this guide that explains how to fix this error. Could you follow it and run the commands again after that?
