This section of our documentation explains how to create a virtual host in the Bitnami solutions.
In your case, you can continue using the same configuration in Joomla (you won't need to change any file in the joomla folder) but you will need to create the new virtualhost for your static website. These are the steps to follow
- Point the site1.com to the current IP of your instance. You will be able to access Joomla using that domain from this time on.
- Create a httpd-vhosts.conf file (you can copy the one in apps/joomla/conf) to configure the new virtual host.
- Generate new certificate files to use in that new virtual host (you can also copy the ones in apache2/conf in order to test the configuration)
- Include that new file in the apache2/conf/bitnami/bitnami-apps-vhosts.conf file
- Restart Apache
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh restart apache
