Thank you for getting back to me on this.
I have tried Firefox, Chrome, IE10/11 & Safari on a Windows 8.1 machine, Windows 7 laptop, Hosting AWS instance using the cloud stack from the bitnami site and also on a MS Surface Pro running win 8.1.
Interestingly the OSX Mac stack installs appear to work correctly, and they also work correctly when accessed from my Win 8.1 (in any of the above browsers) desktop PC as well via the network. That tells me it's not a browser specific issue.
So I inspected the page and found that the error returned indicated a problem with the ckeditor.js file. When looking at the file there is some junk text added to the top as per the screen shot at this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/h8zzpjnsxsrbi66/error_ckeditor.jpg. Given the number of machines and different networks and different browsers I've tried with the same result, I'm wondering if there is something in the OS or installer that is doing it. Any suggestions welcome.
